Senior IT Coordinator in Nottingham, United Kingdom

The Role

We’re on the lookout for a Senior IT Coordinator to join us here in our Nottingham office. This is a stand alone role reporting in to the Head of Cyber Security and will be responsible for the implementation and management of security measures to protect our corporate IT network within the context of broader business objectives. The main focus of the role initially will be identifying and implementing security improvements that enhance the organisation’s security posture so therefore a great deal of self-motivation & initiative is required for this role.

Key responsibilities:

• · Act as a primary point of contact for ONYX’s external MSP addressing any issues around KPI’s, SLA’s, Quality & collaboration on troubleshooting.

• · Manage and respond to internal IT security issues.

• · Coordinate corporate IT purchasing.

• · Assist in the planning and implementation of IT initiatives aligned with business objectives, providing technical advice and strategic recommendations to senior management.

• · Make recommendations for new technologies to business stakeholders following thorough evaluation & research.

• · Monitor IT budgets, expenditures, and contracts related to MSP and technology services.

• · Participate in developing and delivering security awareness training for employees.

• · Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and incidents.

• · Support compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, NERC-CIP) as specified by the Head of Cyber Security.

• · Perform risk assessments and manage security risks.

• · Prepare, review, and maintain security documentation and reports.

• Experience in a similar role in an SME business ideally with a Global reach.

• An understanding of IT management systems and processes, an awareness of IT security issues, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.

Ideally you’ll have/be:

• Experience of managing or being a primary contact to an external MSP.

• A security first approach.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to influence Stakeholders at all levels in order to promote best practice.

• A self-starter with experience of working on your own initiative.

• Experience of using Linux.
