You will lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and activations aimed at brand discovery, while supporting customer growth and sales across our e-commerce, digital, retail, and wholesale teams.As a creative storyteller with a strategic mindset, you will collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers to spearhead brand and product marketing initiatives. These range from local activations to North American product campaigns and launches, all designed to elevate our brand promise and mission.You will lead a diverse marketing team, overseeing social media, influencer relations, content creation, brand partnerships, collaborations, and community activations. Your efforts will encompass general marketing strategies to ensure cohesive and impactful brand representation.Areas of Responsibility:

What will you be doing?Strategy & Brand Management

  • You will develop and execute brand and product content/storytelling strategies that align with tentree’s ethos and company goals, including supporting the Senior Brand Director in executing brand campaigns/activations as assigned.
  • You will develop strategic approaches and project briefs that collaborate with and consider the business needs of retail/wholesale, digital (web, e-comm, ads, email), events and social media.
  • You will identify and pitch to the Senior Brand Director brand-appropriate marketing and communication opportunities consistent with our brand voice and positioning.
  • You will collaborate with internal team and external contacts to produce compelling and relevant on-brand content.
  • You will ensure the tentree brand visual and message positioning shows up consistently across all channels.
  • You will ensure all work is aligned to brand guidelines and reflects the needs of the tentree’s personas.

Planning & Development

  • You will contribute to the development of project and department goals and annual budget planning.
  • You will build and support effective and repeatable processes to ensure strategy and creative deadlines and expectations are met.
  • You will manage creative and channel workflow through effective project management.
  • You will update and maintain tentree’s marketing calendar in collaboration with the product and digital teams.
  • You will update and help to manage the department’s marketing/promotional project calendar helping to remove roadblocks and distribute workload.

Marketing Analysis & Reporting

  • You will leverage consumer and market insights, trends and competitive activities to optimize channel effectiveness and to inform / adjust brand strategies.
  • You will monitor, analyze and report on campaign / channel performance through regular reporting, updates and insights to optimize effectiveness, including the preparation and presentation of results to brand team and company leadership as required.
  • You will ensure project results are inputted and tracked in the brand department’s reporting dashboard.
  • You will track assigned monthly and annual budget including forecasting, tracking spend, invoice processing, monthly reconciliation and identifying variances between actual and budgeted financials each month with the Senior Director, Brand.

Channel Leadership

  • You will plan, execute and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns for, but not limited to, owned brand content, product launches and seasonal launches.
  • You will oversee the content planning and development, KPIs setting and tracking for our social channels.
  • You will lead planning and execution for community activations as required.
  • You will lead the strategic approach, execution and reporting for product seeding and influencer relations plus with content creators.
  • You will lead the strategic approach, execution and reporting for brand collabs and partnerships.

Team Development & Relationships

  • You will lead, coach, and direct marketing team members from assigned and reviewing work to participating in their professional development.
  • You will review and approve work by direct reports ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • You will remain up-to-date on relevant marketing strategy and creative trends and best practices among both competitors and innovators outside of our industry.
  • You will build strong working relationships with cross-functional business partners such as digital, sales, operations, product, sustainability and our veritree peers to facilitate the successful execution and analysis of marketing initiatives.

RequirementsProfessional Requirements:

  • 8+ years of direct-to-consumer marketing experience, including at least 3 years in building omnichannel brand marketing strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong strategic understanding of brand, digital, and general marketing, with an ability to set SMART targets and assign KPIs to marketing and business goals.
  • Proven experience in tracking, analyzing, and interpreting marketing campaign results, with recommendations for optimization.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a capacity for creative and integrated thinking.
  • Tenacity for experimenting with new storytelling methods and taking calculated creative risks.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, spoken, and presentation abilities; adept at creating engaging presentation decks using text, photos, and videos.
  • Proficiency with mainstream social media channels and effective content creation, as well as influencer and content creator relations.
  • Experience in the graphic design and creative development process, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with graphic designers and writers.
  • Proven leadership skills, including team management, coaching, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.

A typical hiring range for this position is $95,000 – $107,000 CAD per year with the final salary offer based on your qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
