Requisition ID: 209478Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.The Senior Manager, HR Business Management contributes to the overall success of the HR Globalization Office by tracking, organizing and overseeing all HR financials and global headcount to accurately inform areas of opportunity and risk. This role sits within the HR Globalization Office and supports the consolidation of all Global HR headcount and financials.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:Leads the business management for the HR Globalization Office by:

  • Tracking overall HR financials, working closely with the budget coordinators across HR to consolidate for the function and reconcile with key partners
  • Supporting business case development for HR Globalization Office and assessing HR Globalization initiatives for financial impact and recommendations
  • Providing regular reporting on vacancies and hiring across HR to allow for effective and efficient spend of budget
  • Consolidating opportunities being recommended through HR target operating model design work and pointing out potential implications and highlighting parallel work
  • Acting as gateway manager to connect the dots around all initiatives and priorities related to HR globalization and strategic priorities and bring a consolidated view together
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

  • Champions a client focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

  • Strong financial acumen and skills with experience dealing with project financials
  • Financial dimensions (ie. annual initiatives costs, operating budget, etc.) in partnership with GHR Finance and GHR Leadership
  • Supports multiple stakeholders across GHR and global business lines/functions
  • Operates in a highly matrixed environment and scope of initiatives are enterprise wide

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Certification in project management (PMP) and 2+ years business experience (an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of the Bank, or FIs is preferred
  • Excellent financial skills alongside organizational skills/relationship management/communicator/problem solving
  • Must be proactive, self-starter and capable of moving forward through complex situations and, prioritizing
