Our tech ecosystem connects millions of active customers with hundreds of thousands of connected partners in countries across the globe.The Strategic Initiatives Senior Manager works closely with the Logistics VP to develop and deliver the Canada Logistics strategy over a 1-3 year time horizon. There are two main facets to this role. First is accountability for the portfolio of Logistics initiatives. You will lead a team of managers who are the primary owners of these initiatives; their responsibilities include setting the objectives, driving decisions, communicating, measuring and influencing stakeholders. Second is accountability for driving operational rigour across the CA Logistics function to enable it to ultimately achieve its OKRs. The Senior Manager will be a core partner for leaders within the Global Delco organization and the functional leads within the Canadian Market (Skip). The individual is expected to participate in and lead decisions impacting the longer-term business, and proactively consult and align with their cross-functional stakeholders.If you’re a strategic thought-leader who can create a long-range vision to win, while keeping in mind resource constraints and market dynamics – this might be the next role for you!The right candidate will have strong financial acumen to autonomously spearhead decision-making with commercial impacts, years of applied experience that will have equipped them with best-in-class portfolio management and people leadership skills. Using your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you are able to succinctly articulate recommendations, promote your vision at the executive level and motivate partners to deliver the work on time and to your high standards. Finally, you will establish yourself as a thought-leader in Logistics, staying abreast of market trends to identify opportunities and contribute to global best practices.What’s On Your PlateAccountable for defining and driving the portfolio of Logistics projects & strategies which ultimately result in achieving the market’s strategic objectives. Proactively seek and implement opportunities to improve the department’s programs and efficiencies.Lead a team of professionals, removing barriers as needed and keeping stakeholders informed of risks & progress. For more complex and high-stakes projects in your team’s portfolio, you may be required to step into a direct project owner role.Accountable for business cases underlying the projects in your portfolio, developed in partnership with finance leaders, to support decisions, inform prioritization and ensure the business grows profitably.Drive business rigour across the entire Logistics department, measuring the department’s progress against success metrics (OKRs), demonstrating alignment with overall Skip OKRs and Logistics strategic vision, and assisting as needed in key management meetings.Advise executives by providing business insights. Autonomously create recommendations that ultimately inform strategic decisions taken by the executive team.Influence Product & Tech teams to prioritize & develop solutions based on the market’s needs. Understand what’s coming down the product pipeline to inform the market roadmap. Influence stakeholders through your deep understanding of commercial and financial levers.Stay current with industry developments to drive benchmarking, innovation and continuous improvement.
