We have a proven track record in this, often winning new clients through referrals.THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior People Partner to join our People & Talent team on a part-time basis. This role will suit an experienced HRBP who will play a crucial role in aligning People strategies with business goals, driving HR initiatives, and providing expert HR advice and support to management and employees.Joining a small and friendly team, led by a Head of Talent and supported by a People Operations Coordinator, your focus will be to manage compensation & benefits, employee relations, policies & HR compliance, supporting managers with performance management & development, and driving initiatives to enhance our workplace culture, organisation design and effectiveness.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic People Planning: Partner with the senior leadership team to develop and implement people strategies that support business objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and upskill managers on ER and people development initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Support the implementation of performance management initiatives, including appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment and immigration processes and regulations. Create and update People team policies and procedures as needed. Oversee all employee & consultant records (administered by the People Operations Coordinator).
  • Compensation & Benefits: Manage our compensation & benefits to include management of benefits suppliers, the salary review process and oversight of payroll.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programmes to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Culture and Engagement: Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Alongside the Head of Talent, develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement and well-being.
  • Change Management & People Projects: Support organisational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and transition plans.

  • Experienced HR Generalist (HRBP or Manager level), with a minimum of 6 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience working in a legal or professional services environment is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to early stage/startup companies and experience of working with a remote-first workforce a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and experience of independently handling employee relations cases.
  • Understanding of US employment law would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees and leaders.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Hours:

  • This role will suit someone looking for a part-time position with flexibility to work over 25-30 hours per week (across 3-5 days per week). The schedule can be tailored to fit the candidate’s availability and preferences. Regular travel to our London office is expected, over 1-2 days per week.

  • Depending on experience, Avantia offers a FTE salary between £65,000-75,000 (based on a standard 40 hour week)
