Due to internal mobility we’re looking for two Senior Procurement Managers to join our fantastic NW&C Regional Procurement team.As a Senior Procurement Manager, you’ll develop, implement, and maintain contracting and commercial arrangements covering a specific portfolio and medium-value contracts maintaining optimum value for money.These roles can be based flexibly from either our Birmingham, Manchester, or Milton Keynes offices. We offer hybrid working – with the requirement to be in the office 2/3 days per week.About the role (External)Every day will be different, but you can expect to be involved in the following activities:1. Develop, and continually enhance, programme and project-specific procurement strategies that complement the regional strategy and maintain the security of supply and value for money and HSQE performance for a range of contracts including goods, works, and services.2. Perform the full range of procurement and contracting activities including strategy development, pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of framework contracts and contracts.3. Provide procurement advice on a regional basis relating to specific portfolio issues.4. Support pre-contract procurement of main contractors/suppliers and where appropriate actively influence the procurement of sub-contracting activity by the main contractors/suppliers.5. Exercise compliance with Network Rail policies, procedures, and governance and legal (including EU Directives) and regulatory requirements.6. Identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities and contribute to the achievement of efficiency targets for a specific portfolio.7.
