As a Senior Programme Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programmes. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.Senior Programme Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.About the team
Amazon shipping offers Amazon’s logistic capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping’s first customers are sellers in the UK, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network.
Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an experienced leader to join the Programs team. You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting large, complex cross functional programs and will have a true hands-on approach, strong program management and analytical skills, and be an effective communicator.
This is a great opportunity to join an entrepreneurial business that is growing at an incredible pace. You will be part of the core team that will be managing the Amazon Shipping business and operations across all legs of the supply chain (first mile, middle mile and last mile). You will also be leading the development of our operational product to deliver a world class customer experience, and the design and implementation of new operating solutions to enable the delivery of strategic targets (service, growth, cost).BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Experience in program or project managementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Master’s degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
