JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Project Coordinator provides administrative support in ensuring project specifications, budget and timelines are being met.OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
  • Provide support in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitoring progress against established schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts and negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients and subcontractors.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality control programs.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and issuing progress schedules to clients.
  • Support with recruitment and management of project staff and contractors.
  • Provide assistance in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitoring progress against established schedules
  • Assist and participate in the development and implementation of quality control programs
  • Coordinate new hire orientations, book flights and accommodations.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and issuing progress schedules to clients
  • Assist in time entry and daily LEM creation
  • Assist field supervisors with organization and submission of field paperwork

REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience in civil or mechanical construction in the oil & gas industry may be considered.
  • Project Management or recognized designation, such as PMP is considered an asset.
  • Experience coordinating a single large project or several projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of contracts and contract management.
  • Experience managing Unit Rate, Lump Sum and T&M Contracts projects.
  • Safety Tickets required: H2S Awareness, WHMIS, Energy Safety Canada’s Common Safety Orientation (CSO) OR Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-2020)
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize various tasks with conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines.
  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft word, Excel, and scheduling software (MS Projects, P6, Excel).
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
  • Able to successfully pass pre-employment alcohol & drug test (including cannabis).

TRAVEL & SCHEDULE

  • Willing to travel and stay in camp accommodation.
  • Able to work 14/7 rotational shift: working up to 12 hour/day.
