Senior, Software Engineer

Position Summary…

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

About Team: 
Indirect Procurement Technology is a key part of the Enterprise Business Services organization within Walmart Global Tech. We are invested in building a compact, robust organization that provides technology solutions for Global Procurement and collaborative partners globally. We also deliver a host of functions including sourcing and expense management, procure to pay and analytics. From building chatbots to designing invoicing solutions and facilitating region specific compliance and legal regulations, we help drive efficiency and flexibility across every part of Walmart’s global presence.

What you’ll do:

• Drive design, development, implementation and documentation of solutions in SAP domain.
• Extensively Work on POCs to adopt the right solution for business.
• Contribute to the success of the implementation by applying SAP technical skills, to design and deploy enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate with functional team to understand the requirement and design effective solutions.
• Work closely with the technical team and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery).
• Drive and fuel innovation within the team, build hacks, work on patents. 
• Learn on the go and work on both new requests/projects as well as support production based on priority.
• Support the local and global community, in developing and testing SAP application developments.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor or equivalent / above degree in Computer Science.
• 7 + years of experience in SAP technologies like ABAP with OO concepts, Web Dynpro ABAP, ABAP on HANA, Reports, Module Pool, Enhancements, Workflow and ALE IDocs.
• Working knowledge of BAPIs and BADi concepts
• Preferred skills BRF, PI, Gateway, UI5, HANA
• Knowledge on openstack technologies – Java / React
• Experience in Leading the Technical team with a strong communication skills
• Experience in Stake holder management on large/small projects
• Understanding of one or more functional domains such as
  • HR
  • MM
  • SRM
  • FI etc.
• Hands-on experience in handling 3 or more SAP implementations.
