Let’s create something incredible together!At Anaplan, we are looking for a strong Senior Platform Engineer to join our team in Ottawa, Canada, as a member of a global engineering organization across the US, UK, Israel, and India.Are you a creative problem solver who can both give and receive feedback? Do you lead with inclusion, collaboration, and openness? Do you have strong experience with high-scale B2B and B2C platforms?As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll craft and help build and deploy the next generation of the Anaplan Platform. You will also build and expand our automation testing to ensure efficient CI/CD.You’re comfortable with full-stack systems design for the hybrid cloud and hands-on distributed systems programming. You have extensive knowledge of Java, JVM, Rust, and Linux, as well as Automation Testing frameworks and Performance testing tools like JMeter and BlazeMeter.This role is an immediate full-time position requiring you to be onsite in our Ottawa office twice a week. • Ability to develop and execute test plans and ensure testing is aligned with business objectives.
• Ability to manage defects and to ensure that defects are properly documented, tracked, and resolved.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and the ability to develop and implement agile processes.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines/build/deploy and knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Harness, Artifactory).
• Knowledge and experience with version control tools like GitHub
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, or other BDD, TDD, or web testing tools
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and the ability to develop and implement automated tests.
• Expertise in testing APIs (e.g., REST, GraphQL APIs, and using tools like Postman, Insomnia, and Swagger)
• Knowledge of scalability and performance testing and tools (Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter)
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Your Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience as a professional Platform Engineer.
• Minimum five years of experience with Java/Python, Automation/Performance tools.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining a SaaS product at scale.
• Experience with cloud storage S3, NFS, NetApp OnTap, Cohesity
• Containers and container-orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Distributed Systems and programming techniques.
• Monitoring and metrics infrastructure (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Splunk, SignalFx).
• Public Cloud (e.g., AWS / GCP/ Azure).
• Bonus: Experience with AI/ML, Natural Language
