Great People make Schneider Electric a great company.Do you dream of working in a company that is driven by a meaningful purpose and that continuously creates an inclusive environment where you are empowered to do your best and be innovative?The Role: Solutions Purchaser – Senior ProfessionalThe Solutions Purchaser – Senior Professional is responsible for monitoring the performance of a team of solution purchasers to achieve procurement objectives and targets in collaboration with all the Key Stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Finance. Day to day functions would includer the administration of Purchase Requisitions, converting to Purchase Orders and management of the whole process.What will you do?ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members in executing procurement activities.
- Overseeing the procurement process, monitor open Purchase Requisitions, clear related issues, and convert to Purchase Order on a timely manner.
- Place PO to vendor, secure order acknowledgement and ensure vendor’s delivery commitment is aligned with the customer requested delivery date.
- Monitor status of vendor’s PO, conduct regular follow up to ensure delivery per commitment, fix issues on delays and provide updates to key stakeholders.
- Support required documentation on shipping, custom clearing and other related documents.
- Assist Team Manager in any issue in first instance and escalate the problem when necessary.
- Assist in resolving service order discrepancies
- Escalate any issue which was not solved in 24 hrs or needs manager help to be solved
- Ensure that the end to end process is completely fulfilled
- Availability to cover order entry team members from other regions
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Sciences or Business Admin.
- Experience in order management or logistics an advantage
- Knowledge in ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, BAAN
- Familiarity with computers and related software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks at the same time
- Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours during high peak volume times during each quarter
- Organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail is highly desired.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is require.
