We guide our clients through the evolving landscape of sustainability, to deliver their retrofit, fit-out or property transaction in accordance with their ESG goals and industry-leading practice. We help clients to decarbonise their buildings, protect assets from our changing climate and create better, healthier places for people.We have a diverse team of engineers and sustainability professionals, which enables us to guide our clients through all sustainability requirements for projects, combining NZC with equally critical sustainability criteria, maximising opportunities to deliver best-in-class sustainable buildings.   • Sustainability consulting for construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects, advising on a broad range of sustainability, including energy & carbon, health & wellbeing, social impact and nature
  • Preparation of sustainable design principles & guides
  • Reviewing existing buildings from site surveys, as built information, energy data and research, to quantify a building’s key energy performance factors
  • Creating and checking others’ detailed energy models to define a building’s engineering and architectural requirements for decarbonisation
  • Understanding a building’s engineering and building fabric factors to determine an efficient NZC building design
  • Undertaking whole life carbon assessments using OneClickLCA.
  • Undertaking climate risk adaptation studies
  • Liaising with clients to advise on sustainable design and engineering solutions
  • Preparation of energy strategies and other sustainability related documents for planning applications
  • Supporting clients with their property transactions through ESG due diligence
  • Engagement with the UK GBC, LETI and wider sustainability and construction industry
  • Working with colleagues across JLL to help shape our comprehensive NZC and sustainability market offer

  • A passion for sustainable and NZC buildings
  • Minimum 2yrs’ experience as a senior consultant
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Robust building services engineering and/or building physics experience
  • A Building Services or Environmental Engineering degree or equivalent Post Graduate qualification in Sustainable Design
  • Chartered status or be on the path to Chartered status
  • Very competent in IES VE software and CIBSE TM 54 thermal modelling. Ideally familiar with IES Apache HVAC and DfP modelling
  • Familiar with Part L/SAP modelling and up to date with the proposed changes to these regulations
  • Competent in AutoCAD and ideally Revit
  • A good understanding of the UK GBC and LETI industry standards for NZC buildings
  • A good understanding of BREEAM, WELL and other industry certification schemes
  • Knowledge or experience in OneClickLCA is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Passivhaus Standard is an advantage
  • Experience in wider sustainability consulting, such as social value and biodiversity is an advantage
  • Experience in sustainability services for planning applications is an advantage
  • An ability to sketch ideas and communicate with sketches rather than written text
