Senior Systems Engineer, Linux

Our Technology department of around 300 employees works largely in an agile way using a Scrumban approach and covers areas such as Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Operations, Process and Governance, Software Development

and Architecture. We are particularly proud to develop almost all of our applications in-house, which gives us unique flexibility and innovative strength. Our tech stack includes modern technologies such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript and Python, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes as well as Azure Cloud, Azure SQL Database and Oracle Database with PL/SQL.

What will you do? 

• As a Senior System Engineer, you will ensure the high availability of our systems and keep our system environment running stably
• As Product Owner for Linux, you will manage internal and external colleagues in operations and projects as part of the team
• Together with the team, you are always looking for the best state-of-the-art solutions and the tools of tomorrow
• You support the internal teams with your knowledge and reporting during IT and audit reviews
• You skillfully pass on your knowledge to the team and create documentation for the environments you support.

Who are we looking for?

• Successfully completed training, preferably IT-related, or a degree in computer science or business informatics
• Experience in the design, automation and administration of large heterogeneous Unix infrastructures
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Satellite system management
• Significant experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet and very good scripting knowledge (BASH)
• Knowledge of the Ansible Automation Platform and parts of the Red Hat ecosystem such as Insight & IdM as well as experience in tools such as Jira, Confluence & Icinga would be desirable
• Excellent analytical skills and independent, results-oriented and structured working style
• Strong teamwork skills and consistent customer and service orientation
