Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator – ConnectWise Expert
Location: Lenexa, KansasPosition Summary: Kaeppel Consulting is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator with expertise in ConnectWise to join our client’s team in Lenexa, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with ConnectWise Manage (PSA), as well as a strong background in managing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and security of our IT systems.
Work Environment:

  • Location: On-site position based in Lenexa, Kansas.
  • Type: Temporary to Hire permanent position

Key Responsibilities:
1. ConnectWise Administration:

  • Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and optimize the ConnectWise platform to meet business needs.
  • Integration: Ensure seamless integration of ConnectWise with other systems and applications to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for ConnectWise-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Customization: Customize ConnectWise modules and features to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Best Practices: Implement and adhere to best practices for ConnectWise administration, time entry, invoicing, documentation, and customer interaction within the system.

2. Systems Administration:

  • Server Management: Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Network Administration: Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect IT systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and system resilience.

3. IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Monitoring: Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to proactively address potential issues.
  • Updates and Patches: Ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest patches, updates, and firmware.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services.

4. Project Management:

  • Implementation: Lead and participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to align technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Planning: Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, with at least 3 years of experience managing ConnectWise.

2. Technical Skills:

  • ConnectWise Manage (PSA): Highly proficient in ConnectWise Manage (PSA) administration, time entry, invoicing, documentation, and customer interaction within the system.
  • Systems Integration: Strong understanding of how ConnectWise integrates with other systems.
  • Systems Administration: Strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Network Administration: Proficiency in managing network infrastructure and security.
  • Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

3. Certifications:

  • Preferred: ConnectWise certifications, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar certifications.

4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and make data-driven decisions.

5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and across departments.
