Senior Talent Acquisition Manager role details:Salary: Competitive salary (DOE)Hours: 37.5 hours per weekWorking pattern: Monday to FridayLocation: Gist Basingstoke, RG24 8UB (flexibility to also be remote based)What you’ll do:
- Partner with colleagues to identifying skills gaps within the workforce considering the future world of work in the sector and wider where necessary. Building and owning a future workforce strategy (direct and indirect) and enabling the teams to support and execute where required
- Have a wide understanding of the current recruitment trends in the sector to identify the impact upon the business
- Use networking forums and tools to build external relationships and to ensure an in-depth knowledge of competitive talent, to provide a pipeline of candidates linking into Gist future Talent strategy
- Develop and execute a talent acquisition and resourcing strategy aligned with the business priorities and lead a team of talent acquisition professionals across managerial and volume recruitment (the role holder will play an active role in the recruitment of senior roles) to support the delivery of the Talent strategy
- Collaborate and hold the strategy for DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) across Gist. Create and continually evaluate DEI principles and actions within Gist in order to support the creation of Inclusive workplaces and attract top talent
- Develop the Gist brand as an ’employer of choice’ in the external marketplace and play an active role in shaping the diverse future people proposition ensuring the right routes to market are applied
- Use data and metrics (and produce reporting where necessary) to assess the effectiveness of the recruitment process and make data-driven decisions, to improve diverse hiring strategies whilst partnering with the operational teams to understand their requirements
- Develop capabilities of the current applicant tracking system (ATS) and as appropriate explore new ATS solutions to support best in experience for candidates, recruiters and hiring managers
- Ensure compliance in respect of both talent acquisition processes and agency compliance (IR35), in conjunction with the appropriate subject matter experts across the People, Safety & Culture team
- Collaborate with business and people partnering teams to lead agency peak planning activities including appropriate agency incentives
- Support the team to collaborate with our Contracts & Services Manager to: develop relationships with key/business critical agency service providers; ensure effective agency reporting to ensure appropriate visibility and MI; build robust SLA’s to ensure we secure what we need when we need it; ensure agency rate cards are appropriate maintained; and ensure compliance to all financial processes
- Ownership of key routes to market including Indeed and LinkedIn, ensuring these platforms drive the most effective talent acquisition campaigns in the external market
- Accountability for the selection/de-selection of agency providers and escalation resolution
- Oversight and implementation of any / all agency and recruitment related employment legislation
- Provide expertise and insight to support operational resourcing pinch-points
Who you are:
- Able to establish rapport quickly and develop trusted relationships, contracting as a COE with people operations teams and key operational stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and stakeholder management skills, acting as a ‘critical friend’ to shape hiring decisions
- Experienced, passionate and motivated to make a change in workplace DEI.
- Exceptional consultative skills and able to influence action and change with stakeholders as well as an ability to listen but also persuasively convey opinions and recommendations
- Ability to demonstrate commerciality, creating and developing robust reporting to drive decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, dealing with change and ambiguity and bring leadership best practice to change initiatives
- Experience in leading a DEI agenda, with successful outcomes in the TA space
- Experience in recruiting operational and senior / head office candidates into similar organisations/ industries ensuring culture fit
- Ability to navigate and understand the workforce capabilities of the future. Be able to translate into Talent acquisition strategies, ensuring the business is future proofed
- Passionate and experienced resourcing lead who can engage the business to drive forward the workforce strategy understanding the industry / sector, internal and external challenges and providing market insight
- Ability and experience of managing agency contracts, specific knowledge of agency related employment legislation
- Ability to play an individual contributor role on occasions in respect of recruitment
- Knowledge of labour legislation, GDPR regulations and recruitment principals and methodologies
- An organised individual with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and with ease
- Strong background within an in-house recruitment team
- Strong ability to instigate and take part in active Networking internally and externally to build strong relationships and thought leadership
