So, whether you’re looking to build new skills, make an impact in your community, or inspire your team, we go there for you.DescriptionReporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting, Tax, & Treasury, the Senior Treasury Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management of the organization’s liquidity and cash flow, providing financial insight and strategic recommendations to support decision-making and compliance with financial obligations. The primary purpose of this role is to monitor, analyze, and optimize cash balances across multiple accounts, ensure compliance with debt covenants, and support the execution of foreign exchange (FX) transactions. The Senior Treasury Analyst will collaborate closely with the finance team to enhance cash management strategies, mitigate risk, and contribute to financial planning and forecasting.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze daily cash balances across all company accounts to ensure optimal liquidity and effective cash flow management.
Prepare daily and weekly cash position reports for senior management, highlighting key movements, liquidity risks, and strategic opportunities.
Review trends in cash movements and provide recommendations for cash utilization or reserves based on business needs and forecasts.
Develop cash flow projections and work with finance teams to maintain appropriate cash levels for operations, investments, and debt servicing and to support long-term financial planning and budgeting processes.
Monitor compliance with financial covenants related to credit facilities, loans, and other debt obligations.
Prepare and review covenant reporting to ensure timely compliance and take corrective actions if needed.
Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure the organization remains compliant with debt agreements and regulations.
Regularly review foreign exchange rates and market conditions to provide insights into currency risks and opportunities.
Propose strategies for FX hedging and execute FX trades based on timing and market conditions, optimizing the cost of currency exchange for the organization.
Collaborate with relevant departments to understand the impact of FX fluctuations on the company’s international operations and financial performance.
Maintain and manage the process for letters of credit
Continuously evaluate and improve treasury processes, tools, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
Identify opportunities for automating treasury operations and improving the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive risk management strategies are in place for liquidity, foreign exchange, and other financial exposures.EducationBachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study (Finance or Accounting) preferredWorking towards or completed Accounting designation (CPA) preferredExperience3+ years Accounting or Treasury experience (preferably in a complex, fast-paced organizational environment)
Proven analytical, scenario planning and modelling skills required (must have)
Robust knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles and standards, audit management, compliance and management reporting
Strong systems knowledge and experience with SAP preferred (S/4Hana and/or SAP BI is a plus)
Freight-forwarding, package, transportation or logistics industry experience (is a plus)
Strong ability with all Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) (must have)
Sound analytical, judgement and decision-making skills with proven abilities in problem solving
Solid organizational and time management skills with a keen eye and attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
Thrive in a challenging environment with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple requests/responsibilities
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Individual must be organized and have excellent time management skills
