This is a fantastic chance to join Nationwide’s Liquidity and Product Risk Reporting function, at a time when the team is expanding its reporting remit.In Liquidity Risk, the team is responsible for producing and analysing current regulatory and internal reporting and supports a variety of forecasting and stress testing activities, For Product Risk, the team ensures that Retail fixed rate products are hedged and reported accurately to support the management of interest rate risk. The primary goal of the team is to produce complete, accurate and timely reporting or forecasting to support risk management and ensure Regulatory compliance.The keys to success in this role are:

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, and experience of working with macros/VBA;
  • Knowledge of balance sheet risk, namely liquidity risk and/or interest rate risk;
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment;
  • A high level of self-motivation and drive; and
  • A proven track record producing and analysing reporting in a timely manner, ideally in a banking or Treasury environment.

You can also find out more about our approach to .If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.What you’ll be doingAs part of the Liquidity and Product Risk reporting team, you’ll be supporting the production of various reporting undertaken by the team with a focus on liquidity or product risk, depending on your experience. The role will report to a Consultant or Senior Consultant in the team.You’ll be working in a fast-paced reporting team with a high volume of output that will mean you’ll have to think on your feet and problem solve while ensuring all deliverables are met. As we are at the heart of the business, you’ll have exposure to senior management, the ability to shape and influence the team and wider agenda.This is an exciting time to be joining the team, as we expand our reporting remit and there will be opportunity to be involved in change related activities, including change programmes that help deliver important changes to our prudential reporting and forecasting.About youAs a minimum requirement you’ll need to have:

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to produce highly technical reporting and identify anomalies, working with Excel to an advanced level .
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • A high level of self-motivation and drive.
  • A proven track record of reporting, delivering to a high standard against strict deadlines.
  • Be comfortable with implementing changes in large datasets used for reporting.
  • Experience maintaining robust control and governance processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
