SEO TECHNICAL & CONTENT ANALYST
HYBRID / LONDON (1 day/week in the office)

Our data and benchmarking tools are used by many of the world’s most prestigious universities to help them achieve their strategic goals and our events series act as the home of higher education thought leadership around the world.We’re hiring for a SEO Technical & Content Analyst with a passion for technical and content SEO and has with extensive experience delivering data-driven SEO insights and reports aligned to ROI. Reporting to the SEO manager, you’ll be delivering data-driven insights from a range of SEO datasets to support SEO goals.What you’ll be doing:

• Work with the SEO Manager to implement THE’s SEO strategy and ensure SEO projects are measurable against defined goals.
• Produce SEO reports based on technical audits, competitor analysis, SEO performance, data scraping, keyword research, and traffic data.

• Working with the SEO Manager to present findings to cross-department stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Product, IT/Engineering teams and web analyst team.
• Assist the SEO manager in driving technical SEO changes across THE’s websites.
• Use your experience in SEO dataset analysis to identify data-driven SEO optimization opportunities from a range of sources including log files, Search Console Data, crawler data, internal link audits, traffic data, Keyword insights etc.
• Support the SEO manager with website migrations.
• Run SEO audits (technical and content) and make clear, concise recommendations for issues.
• Experienced doing traffic loss data analysis.
• Experienced in Content SEO.
• Advanced experience keyword research and competitor analysis.
• Experienced using in-house SEO technologies such as SEMRush/Ahrefs and site crawlers and providing support to cross-team users when required
• Some experience of link building and link audits.

Person Specification
Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Experienced at data wrangling across a range of SEO datasets
• An advanced user of SEO tools including Google Search Console, Keyword Planner, enterprise site crawlers (Botify or similar), and SEMRush or Ahrefs and Google Analytics.
• Experience in Jira
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods and how AI is changing Search.
• You relish SEO datasets, formulae and finding ways to help turbo-charge insights teams can glean from your analysis and charts.
• Good command of HTML & CSS in a CMS environment
• Hands-on experience building dashboards with least one data visualisation tool such as Looker Studio, or Tableau.
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functionally diverse teams.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working is a plus.

Experience:

• Demonstrable SEO experience either in-house or agency level
• Enterprise SEO experience
• Extensive experience in conducting SEO audits and content audits (essential)
• Extensive experience with a range of site crawlers – ideally including Botify (essential)
• Extensive experience in wrangling SEO datasets (essential)
• Experience in managing data sets in a web migration (essential)
• Keen interest in SEO developments and changes (essential)

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

• Experience with News SEO and News sites
• A programming language useful for data analytics such as Python or SQL
• Experimenting with ScreamingFrog’s Embedding extraction and Google Collab and crawling using ChatGPT and ScreamingFrog.
• Experience of international SEO.
