An introduction to economic analysis and its applications from a macroeconomic (economy-wide) perspective. Topics covered include international trade and finance, role of money and the banking system, monetary and fiscal policy. Note: graphical and quantitative analysis are used extensively.Estimated course enrolment: 110Estimated TA support: 176 hours (contingent upon enrolment and funding)Class Schedule: Monday 10:00-11:00; Wednesday 10:00-11:00. • PhD in Economics
• Prior experience teaching this course (or a similar course) at the university level
• Ability and experience teaching large classes

Preferred qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years

• Experience with remote or online teaching

Description of duties:

• Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course
• Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to course
• Preparation, supervision and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations
• Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
