Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto)Description:Course Number and Title: EEB266H1F – Animal Diversity: InvertebratesCourse description: The diversity of invertebrates (e.g. sponges, jellyfish, flatworms, molluscs, segmented worms, round worms, arthropods, echinoderms and several smaller phyla) is explored, focusing on taxonomic characters that define each group and their placement in the evolutionary tree of life, ecological function, biological requirements, and geographical distribution. Labs emphasize identification and recognition of major groups, including dissection when appropriate. (Lab Materials Fee: $26)Estimate of the course enrolment: 45Estimate of TA support: 140 hoursClass schedule: Lectures – Fridays 10:00am-12:00pm; and Labs – Wednesdays 1:00pm-4:00pmSessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024Salary (0.5FCE): $9,457.90 for Sessional Lecturer I ($9,930.79 for SLI Long Term); $10,121.77 for Sessional Lecturer II ($10,326.62 for SLII Long Term); $10,362.76 for Sessional Lecturer III ($10,570.02 for SLIII Long Term), inclusive of vacation payPlease note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevailMinimum Qualifications: Knowledge of the subject area and ability in teaching the course subject at a university level.
