Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto)Description:This course is the core of the MHSc in Translational Research Program. Students, organized in small groups of 2-5 students will have identified and defined a major project proposal in translational research. This project proposal will consist of an extensive outline, project plan and timeline for completion with milestones. Each group will also have established an advisory committee with sufficient expertise to guide and advise the group. This project proposal will be carried out in LMP2330Y. Each group will be required to meet once a week to chart progress and plan upcoming tasks. The group will also be expected to consult formally with their committee once a month. All groups will meet as a class once a month to report progress to the course coordinators and other class members.Estimated course enrollment: ~ 30 studentsEstimated TA support: to be determinedClass schedule: 2-hour seminar-style workshops; occurring Thursdays between 10am-7pm (TBC)Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2024 – April 30, 2025Salary (1.0 FCE):Sessional Lecturer I – $18,915.79
