Setup Technician

Are you a technician with experience working in injection molding looking for an opportunity to continue your career with a global plastics manufacturer? A long established company in Beaverton is looking to add an experienced Setup Technician to their growing team!  

This company makes a a variety of plastic components for a variety of critical industries, including big name companies like Tesla and Toyota. In this Setup Technician role, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by setting up, removing and troubleshooting the injection mold tooling and performing maintenance on the injection molds.

 Setup Technician Responsibilities:  

• Set-up, remove and troubleshoot injection mold tooling and auxiliary equipment  

• Troubleshot machine processes  

• Read specifications to determine machine set up and prescribed temperature and time settings  

• Repair and maintain machines and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools  

• Enter molding parameters into the press 

Schedule:  

• 6:00pm-6:30am (12 hr rotating shifts)  

• 3-day weekends twice a month!  

Setup Technician Requirements: 

• 1+ years of experience working in an injection molding role/environment  

• Ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings  

• Mechanically inclined with the abilty to use various hand tools  

• Basic computer proficiency  

• Forklift experience highly preferred  

Compensation:  

• $25-$31/ hr base 

• 5% shift differential for graveyard + OT available
