Astute’s Renewables Team is proudly and exclusively partnered with a key business and influential player in the UK anaerobic digestion / biogas sector. The company are hiring a SHEQ Manager to cover a small portfolio of assets and we’re looking for a safety conscious and collaborative people-person to join the team with the ultimate goal of driving a positive SHEQ ethos across the company.This SHEQ Manager role comes with a salary of up to £66,000, a huge benefits package and genuine hybrid working with site presence too for inspections.If you’re wanting to work a genuine, key player in the market then please apply below and give me a call directly.Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Head of SHEQ you will:

• Lead health, safety, environmental and quality processes and management systems across a portfolio of anaerobic digestion assets
• Carry out weekly and monthly inspections across a portfolio of sites from London to north Norfolk
• Manage the PAS110 certification
• Provide specific and relevant SHEQ advice to operational staff on site
• Develop a SHEQ centric culture and ethos, ensuring that operational staff see SHEQ as an important part of their role
• Look for continuous improvement opportunities across the site, looking to implement these where possible
• Closely monitor all SHEQ legislation and regulation, ensuring that you update all relevant personnel when required
• Implement and maintain ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001
• Help to standardise HSEQ practices across the company
• Attend and host SHEQ meetings, both internally and externally
• Attend sites and the office near Cambridge when required
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• A higher education / qualifications in Health and Safety, a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate
• Experience in communicating with the Environment Agency and other regulatory bodies
• An appropriate membership is desired, ie IEMA, IOSH etc
• At least 5 years experience in the role
• Experience in the anaerobic digestion or energy from waste sector. Experience in a process plant would be a back up.

The SHEQ Manager role would suit someone who is:

• Proactive and can implement ideas from the bottom up
• Someone with very strong English and communication skills, both written and verbal
• A people person and someone who wants to make a genuine change
