Health exclusion can happen for many reasons, ranging from a person’s race, gender, age and sexuality to factors such as not knowing how to manage a health condition. We want to change this by understanding what holds people back from better everyday health so we can include them in opportunities to improve their health and that of their loved ones.This is why we have made driving health inclusivity the single-minded focus of our Social Impact as we work towards fulfilling our purpose.
- We are working to tackle three big barriers that we know hold people back from better everyday health, and where we, as Haleon, are best placed to help:
- Health Literacy – growing the knowledge, skills and support that will inform and empower healthy living and healthy behaviours
- Healthcare Accessibility – improving the availability of and access to healthcare that meets the needs of underserved people
- Bias and prejudice – tackling bias and prejudice in health systems and challenging outdated social norms by promoting more inclusive policies and practices
Here at Haleon, we are looking for a Social Impact Programme Manager to help drive performance against our recently announced Social Impact focus on Health Inclusivity.Part of Haleon’s corporate sustainability team, reporting into the Social Impact Director, the Social Impact Programme Manager is responsible for providing Programme management and day to day leadership of one our flagship partnerships with Economist Impact, the Health Inclusivity Index.Working closely with the wider Haleon Corporate Affairs team, central functions, business units, brand and category teams, you will ensure the partnership benefits are maximised across both business and society.Key responsibilities
- Programme manage the Health Inclusivity Index to maximise its impact and ROI.
- Coordinate cross functional team to maximise ROI from the Index including Expert, Categories, Brands, BUs, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs.
- Ensure Haleon maximises opportunities to activate Index findings internally to drive action and build pride and externally to drive engagement and build our reputation with key stakeholders – Policymakers, HP’s, Media, KOL’s, Customers
- Lead and manage partnership with Economist Impact and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Manage HII budget, including effective monitoring and governance
- Programme management support for wider social impact actions across the team as required.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
- 6 – 8+ years of relevant professional experience in managing complex projects, preferably within a FTSE listed business
- A strong track record of translating objectives into key results and tracking progress through metrics and targets
- Evidenced ability to manage and execute against several critical objectives and achieving these through others
- Excellent communication, promotional, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience of managing external stakeholders e.g., corporate partners, academic institutions and agencies.
- A history of successfully delivering multi-faceted strategic projects with the ability to manage and develop several projects concurrently
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present, explain and discuss results of analyses to effectively drive fact-based decision-making
Preferred
- Experience in CGP company/s
- An agile approach and the ability to solve complex problems with limited oversight
- Experience working in a global role, interacting with multiple markets and culture
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Collaborative and relationship-oriented approach to driving action within a team
- Previous work on Social Impact topics would be an advantage
