To find out more about usSocial Worker Parenting Assessor – Fixed termAs a Social Worker Parenting Assessor you will be undertaking Parenting Assessments, you will conduct in-depth family assessments on behalf of the allocated social worker to determine parenting capacity and child welfare needs, providing expert assessments and recommendations for tailored interventions to support parents and children. Key Responsibilities of this role will include:
- Conducting family assessments, thoroughly assessing families to evaluate parenting capacity, risk factors and support needs.
- Parenting capacity assessment, evaluate a parent’s understanding of child development.
- Develop Interventions, collaborate with parents and relevant stakeholders to develop tailored support plans and interventions.
- Report writing, prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive reports, including risk assessments and case plans within directed timescales.
- Liaise with stakeholders, work closely with social workers, other professionals, and external agencies to provide a safe and nurturing environment, and their capacity to meet the child’s emotional, educational, and healthcare needs.
- Child welfare needs, identify and address any concerns regarding the child’s safety, well-being, and developmental needs. ies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting families.

- Educated to a degree level with a relevant professional qualification in social work
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field i.e. social work, leadership and management
- Active SWE registration, enhanced DBS and proven evidence of continuing professional development
- Parent Assess qualification (desirable)
- Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families. Advocating the voices of those we are working with.
- Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, and written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).
