  • Ensuring our solutions are built to support our business – they must be affordable, secure, extensible, and scalable
  • Provision of governance and guidance for development, implementation, maintenance, support, and evolution of projects
  • Gathering early non-functional requirements
  • Evaluation of functional requirements captured by our Business Analysts
  • Selection of technology stack and deployment methods
  • Designing high-level architectural solutions, taking into account risks and constraints
  • Review and approval of the technical solution during the project lifecycle.
  • Building prototypes to prove project viability if required
  • Mentoring technical leads and developers
  • Writing code examples
  • Setting quality standards and ensuring adherence to them
  • Act in a consultancy capacity for testing and deployment
  • Technology landscape monitoring to ensure up-to-date and relevant technologies are adopted
  • Working with our Product Ownership and Senior Management teams to ensure our solutions are delivering real benefit to our customers.
  • Facilitation of workshop sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams in order to deliver solutions
  • Working closely with the Head of Security to ensure systems are secure and follow appropriate security protocols

  • You must be working as a Software Architect already – unfortunately this role is not suitable as a step-up to become one
  • Commercial experience in architecting and developing enterprise products
  • Resident in the UK with valid and unrestricted right to work
  • Excellent understanding of software design
  • In-depth understanding of Azure services
  • Good understanding of DevOps and Continuous Delivery
  • Strong development background and good knowledge of .NET
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, problem solving, analytical and presentation skills
