Expedia’s Media Solutions group enables hotels, airlines, and other travel providers to reach travel shoppers with helpful and relevant travel products. We have revolutionized the way brands reach and connect with online travel consumers, and we have emerged as the leader in online travel advertising. Our travel advertising platform is evolving quickly, and we need a Software Development Engineer to help design, build and deliver the next generation platform.What you’ll do:

• Engineer scalable, fault tolerant software for serving ads across all Expedia Group pages

• Partner with Product leaders, Designers, and fellow engineers to innovate best-in-class solutions using design systems and UX/XD best practices

• Develop outstanding and thoroughly tested code for our platform

• Follow coding standards and engineering practices as agreed by the team

• Advocate for engineering excellence, exceptional usability, and outstanding quality

• Drive architectural decisions on our systems and the integration with the platform

Who you are:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Familiarity with one or more front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue)

• Confident in driving technical discussions and decisions across functional teams and organizations

• Excited to pick up, learn and run with new technologies and frameworks such as Java Spring Boot and GraphQL

• Experience developing backend services – RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Flink nice to have

• Preferred: One or more years’ experience in Digital Advertising Technology

• Experience and Qualification: 4+ years as a software engineer, preferably in e-commerce
