DESCRIPTIONCome change the way the world sees the Cloud!The CloudWatch Logs team builds and manages some of the largest logging systems in the world. CloudWatch Logs allows AWS users to ingest their application and AWS logs in a highly scalable, durable, and reliable service for enterprise scale; find and analyze the right log data to solve operational problems; generate metrics and alarms from their log events; or send log data to other downstream systems.

Successful candidates are passionate about monitoring and have experience leading large organizations in a related space. To be successful in this role, you’ll need a good balance of deep technical skills and strong product sense. You’ll need experience building and leading large software teams. You’ll need excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent the team with senior executives. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your scope of influence naturally as we scale and will have get to hire & develop other leaders along the way.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 3+ years of engineering team management experience
– 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
– 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
– 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
– Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
– Experience partnering with product or program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
– Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineersAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
