Salary: Up to £37,000 per annumResponsibilities:

• Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements the restaurant’s menu.
• Provide expert recommendations on wine pairings to enhance guests’ dining experiences.
• Conduct wine tastings and educate staff on the characteristics and benefits of various wines.
• Manage inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels while minimizing waste.
• Stay current with industry trends and new wine releases to continuously update offerings.
• Assist guests in selecting wines based on their personal preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Oversee and support staff training related to wine service and information.
• Engage with customers in a professional manner to enhance their dining experience.

Essential Qualifications:

• No specific educational qualifications required.
• Relevant certifications in wine studies (e.g., WSET) would be a plus but not essential.

Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a Sommelier or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wines from different regions and varietals.
• Experience in a fine dining restaurant environment would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
