The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and recipe specifications.
  • Assist in the planning and development of menus, taking into account seasonal availability of ingredients.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Support junior kitchen staff in their development and ensure a cooperative working environment.
  • Participate in the training of new kitchen staff and ensure they understand the standards of the restaurant.
  • Handle food preparation in a timely manner while ensuring all food safety regulations are followed.
  • Assist with inventory management and waste control to maximize profit margins.

Essential Qualifications

  • Professional culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Desired Experience

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-quality restaurant environment.
  • Experience in managing a section within a kitchen, demonstrating leadership skills.
  • A passion for food and commitment to continual learning and improvement.

Salary & Benefits

  • Annual salary ranging from £34,000 to £36,000, based on experience and qualifications.
