• Prepare and implement the instructional process for students with IEP’s

• Deliver instruction, through the use of curriculum materials and educational software

• Develop daily lesson plans and classroom schedule that reflects state and school requirements

• Implement standards for student behavior in order to ensure a safe, secure and effective learning environment by providing a high degree of structure, clear expectations, and consistency

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role

• Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required. Master’s degree is a plus

• Have an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement (no other certification will be accepted at this time)

• Must be able to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
