Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.We currently have a Band 6 vacancy on our busy friendly virtual frailty unit at Newham Hospital andare looking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Band 6 Nurse who is ready to take the next step and develop their leadership and management skills.If you have been working as a senior band 5/6 within older people services, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.Main duties of the job
- The post holder will act as a role model for the junior team members in the delivery of high-quality patient centred care. They will work closely with the clinical lead for the service to provide comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services to older people in their homes.
- The post holder will work within the NMC Code, trust policies, guidance, and procedures to ensure safe working practice.
We offer a structured orientation and on-going support and guidance. There are many opportunities to extend you knowledge and staff are supported and encouraged to attend both in house and external courses/training. We also have a dedicated PDN for the area. * As well as supporting our staff’s professional development we offer a new Well-being space, outside areas including designated garden areas as well as fitness classes including a running group.
