• Able to run scripts and create automations for Start and Start Services on Ubuntu
• Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms including VMware, Cisco Hyperflex
• Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, installation, configuration, daily operation

Description

• Providing highly specialized senior technical knowledge and coordinating administration, monitoring, management, and implementation of configuration management and automation of processes.
• Providing expertise in working with the right tools and processes to build an efficient and effective automated environment for DevOps.
• Providing expertise in developing and implementing lifecycle management and vulnerability management best practices for Linux and Containerized environments such as Ubuntu and Docker.
• Providing expertise in automation for Linux and Docer infrastructure including the integration with orchestration and automation systems using Ansible, Jenkins.
• Providing expertise in configuration management to keep track of software and operating system configurations
• Providing expertise with writing code to replace manual infrastructure provisioning
• Providing expertise with creating automated processes for system monitoring and alerting on downtimes, errors and similar events.
• Providing expertise with configuration of containerized applications in enterprise environment
• Providing expertise with VMware-based virtualization and cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
• Delivering high quality technical documentation – upgrade documents, run books, etc

NOTE

• Extension/Amendment Attestation: Extension(s) only allowed using unused days/funds left on contract. No additional funds will be added beyond the maximum contract value and any extension options included in the original SOW.
• Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as “Hybrid” as consultants will be required to work partly in the physical workplace and partly remotely. The details of this arrangement will be at the Hiring Manager’s discretion.

Experience and Skill Set RequirementsCore Skills – 50%

• Able to run scripts and create automations for Start and Start Services on Ubuntu
• Able to create routing table on Linux Platforms
• Enterprise management of Linux platforms including lifecycle, patching, monitoring and surveillance.
• Management and monitoring of docker based workloads
• Automation utilizing python, ansible and Jenkins
• Experience with network management platforms such as Netbox
• Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms including VMware, Cisco Hyperflex
• “Cisco 9K, SD-WAN (Viptela) configuration, migration, strong troubleshooting experience
• Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, installation, configuration, daily operation

Technical Skills – 30%

• IPv4/IPv6 experience
• Experience with projects relating to 24×7 critical environments and operations

Communications/Analytical Skills – 20%

• Ability work in agile dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
