Job Description:POSITION SUMMARYProvides technical marketing and sales support of Liebert large UPS systems. This support includes complete bidding cost and bill of material for large systems, custom submittal packages, quotation of switchgear and battery systems, review customer drawings and specifications, provide complete technical response for customer review, order reviews, and generation of switchgear purchasing specifications. The projects supported by this associate are the largest and most complex projects which the Liebert UPS business supports. Our team has returned to office full time. This position reports to our location in Delaware, Ohio.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generates complete bid proposals including bill of material, accurate costing and pricing, technical response, and submittals.
  • Defines requirements for custom switchgear and solicits quotations from suppliers.
  • Responds to general technical inquiries pertinent to the systems supported.
  • Reviews large UPS system orders and prepares order documentation for entry.
  • Provides accurate and timely submittal packages for orders.
  • Generates purchasing specifications for custom switchgear for orders.
  • Generates and/or updates technical white papers and applications tips.
  • Quotes ETO’s for supported equipment.
  • Attends visits with customers, reps, contractors, and consulting engineers.
  • Completes special projects pertinent to assigned product specialty.
  • Provides timely and accurate technical responses and quotations to the sales rep and/or customers to meet and exceed customer expectations with error free pricing and content.
  • Provides technical solutions that exceed the capability of the competition.
  • Completes timely and accurate order reviews.
  • Provides accurate and timely completion of customer drawing submittal packages.
  • Provides accurate and timely completion of switchgear purchasing specifications.
  • May train or provide mentorship to other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in technical scope review and formal proposal development.
  • 5+ years of experience with large power distribution systems, 3-Phase UPS systems, switchgear, or batteries.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with good work habits and organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
  • Good understanding of 3 phase power systems.
  • Working knowledge of the NEC.
  • Strong working knowledge of batteries, switchgear, and supported products.
  • Ability to provide effective training for sales representatives and customers.
