Your Opportunity

Scion is paving a path in student living and we’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join us in executing our vision.  

 The Senior Data Scientist will develop, deploy and maintain advanced analytics models and algorithms to support business decision-making. This role requires deep expertise in data science techniques, including AI/Machine Learning, statistical analysis, and data mining. 

This role is full-time based out of our central office in Chicago, IL.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy predictive models and algorithms.  Establish programmatic methods for monitoring & maintaining model performance and integrity
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights. Automate insight delivery through dashboards, automated notifications or other relevant methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party partners to implement data-driven solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Work closely with Revenue Management team to implement insights.
• Collaborate with Scion’s Product Engineering team to integrate predictions and insights into our proprietary B.I. platform.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science.
• Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and programming languages like Python or R.
• Experience with big data technologies and tools such as Snowflake, Amazon, Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other similar tools.

• Job location is based at Scion headquarters in Chicago, IL
• Working hours are general daytime business hours

The base salary range for this full-time position is $143,000-$153,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
