Job Summary
We are looking for dynamic, fast learner to join our Professional Services Consulting team responsible for implementing Allvue Private Equity solutions for our global and prestigious client base. You will have a strong background in the fundamentals of financial accounting and a desire to grow that knowledge and put it into practice in the fund management industry. You will work closely with the rest of the team and with clients as your knowledge and product experience grows. You will be motivated to learn new skills and technology, and motivated to help our clients achieve the best possible outcomes for their business.
Responsibilities
- Configure product to meet business requirements
- Understand the functional impact of various configuration options and offer recommendations
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Technical Solutions
- Provide product demonstrations as needed (both internally and externally)
- Assist with client user Training
- Build product knowledge through training, self-directed research and testing, and working with senior team members
- Identify new market opportunities and communicate this information to the Product team.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years Private Equity Accounting experience.
- Previous experience working at a consulting firm consulting firm/fund/fund administrator/auditor firm (knowledge of (UK GAAP, IFRS, LUX GAAP Preferred)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting, specifically with respect to alternative investment funds, with a focus on private equity limited partnerships.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of financial instruments.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting and partnership structures.
- Effective both written and verbal communication both internally and with third party vendors.
- Experience preparing/reviewing financial statements, leveraging PE software (Allvue preferred).
- Experience preparing/reviewing capital calls and distribution calculations and creating investor notices, leveraging PE software (Allvue preferred).
- Experience preparing/reviewing investor allocations and capital account statements, leveraging PE software (Allvue preferred).
- Actively participated in a private equity software implementation full lifecycle (Allvue preferred), or experience implementing new fund launches onto PE software.
- Willing to Learn new system/functionality both through formal training and self-learning.
- Sleeves rolled up day-to-day approach.
- Serve as the single point of contact during the onboarding lifecycle (if in implementation).
- PE software experience (Allvue preferred).
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, management information systems, business administration or related field.
- CPA/ACA or equivalent is a plus.
