Description
Please note this role is for a Fixed Term Contract (end date is June 30 2025)
This position can be based in LONDON, MUNICH, PARIS, MADRID, LUXEMBOURG, MILAN.
Amazon’s Expansion Stores Program was established in 2023 when Amazon set an ambitious goal to launch its retail business in 150 countries. With this, the program and teams seek to enable customers to have access to the wide selection of products to shop online on their preferred device, in their preferred language, and with heir preferred currency and payment method regardless of where they are located in EU. To this end, the core focus of the program is to achieve terms, tools, and reporting parity between ES5 – the most mature marketplaces in EU (UK, FR, ES, IT, and DE) – and Amazon’s newer expansion marketplaces (NL, PL, SE, and BE, with IE to be launched in early 2025).
Amazon is looking for a Senior Product Manager to partner in the scaling strategy of this program for a six-month maternity cover. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving scaling initiatives spanning both program and product. You will serve as an integrative force and work in close collaboration with Retail stakeholders from across EU, focusing on scaling vendor onboarding, sharpening negotiations, and driving increased deal offerings across these marketplaces. You will also liaise closely with Country leadership from the expansion marketplaces, gaining a deep understanding of country-level profitability and recommending enhancements in program mechanisms and tools to drive efficiencies and improve the bottom line. You will meet with senior management on a regular basis to help them with strategic decision-making by providing compelling data-driven insights, and will lead the program’s quarterly business review.
The ideal candidate should be customer obsessed, data oriented, with strong stakeholder management skills and a bias for action. The candidate should also feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity, working in a very entrepreneurial environment, and demonstrate strong project management abilities. The Senior Product Manager should be able to interact with and influence multiple teams across the organization. Because you will have to engage with and influence teams across several geographies, previous experience in dealing with different cultures will be a plus.

Contribute to and drive scaling strategy and roadmap for the program
Define, recommend, implement and drive adoption of enhancements in processes and tools to improve growth and profitability across expansion marketplaces
