DESCRIPTIONThe Team: Innovation is part of our DNA! The Amazon Fresh Core Processes team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager that wants to join an ambitious and driven team that is changing the landscape of retail. This role includes up to 25% travel to Amazon Fresh Stores nationwide.The Role: As a Sr. Program Manager on the Core Process team, you are the glue bringing together cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, accurate, and simplified field processes for the stores. In this role, you will own the strategy, development, and deployment of the Wall to Wall (W2W) Inventory Process. Our ideal candidate will work back from core customer needs to develop new standard operating processes that improve efficiency and drive inventory accuracy. You will consistently work with external and internal stakeholder teams, including loss prevention, category, in-stock, supply chain, finance, external vendors, and the store teams that you will serve. You will use data to track the accuracy of W2W inventory and develop work-streams to reduce future inventory defects.Key job responsibilities

  • Drive the expansion, improvement, and simplification of inventory accuracy processes within Amazon Fresh stores
  • Innovate on behalf of your customers by identifying and building solutions to reduce labor hours, improve associate efficiency and improve inventory accuracy
  • Develop, test, and roll out new store processes and continuously maintain training and SOPs
  • Enhance and implement new associate tools and other tech that enable field ops success
  • Create and monitor metrics to demonstrate progress towards goals, provide new insights, develop business cases, and allow for regular updates to senior leadership
  • Monitor store’s compliance and progress on key performance indicators. Assess data to make decisions on process iterations
  • Regularly create detailed written updates and progress toward program goals up to a director and vice president audience
  • Managing cross-functional project teams while collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to improve processes and communication mechanisms
  • Build respect and credibility with individual contributors, stakeholders, management peers, and executives
  • Spend ~25% of your time in the field launching, supervising, and iterating on new/improved processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Operations leadership experience (ideally in Retail stores)
– 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel
– 3+ years of experience successfully managing priorities and resources for customer-experience-driven project/program teams
– Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
– Willingness to work 15-25% of your time traveling to stores.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
– 5+ years’ experience in retail operations
– Familiarity with business process improvement documentation and demonstrated experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders including retail field leadership
– Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
– Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or other Process Improvement methodologies

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
