How You’ll Help Us Connect the World
We are seeking a highly skilled WiFi Validation Engineer with strong experience in wireless networking, Python scripting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the quality and performance of WiFi solutions. This role requires a solid understanding of WiFi protocols, testing methodologies, ML/AI-based analytics, strong debugging abilities, and the capability to develop automated test scripts using Python. The candidate must be willing to work from the office and have a solid educational background in relevant fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning & Design:
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases to validate WiFi performance, coverage, and reliability.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Python to evaluate WiFi products and solutions.
- Incorporate ML and AI techniques to enhance testing accuracy, predict potential issues, and optimize network performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure testing aligns with expected outcomes.
- Validation & Testing:
- Conduct functional, performance, stress, and regression testing on WiFi networks.
- Validate the interoperability of WiFi products with various hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Perform RF testing and analysis to assess signal strength, interference, and overall network quality.
- Automation, Scripting & AI/ML Integration:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python to streamline the validation process.
- Utilize ML and AI analytics to monitor network behavior, identify patterns, and suggest optimizations.
- Integrate AI-driven insights into testing frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data science teams to develop models that predict network performance and potential issues.
- Debugging & Issue Resolution:
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot issues related to WiFi performance, connectivity, and security.
- Apply strong debugging abilities to reproduce, analyze, and resolve defects efficiently.
- Use AI/ML tools to assist in diagnosing complex issues and improving resolution times.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Document test results, issues, and resolutions clearly and concisely.
- Prepare and present validation reports and summaries to stakeholders, providing insights into testing outcomes.
- Incorporate AI/ML-driven analytics into reports to provide deeper insights into network performance.
- Maintain and update testing documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in WiFi technologies, standards, testing tools, AI/ML analytics, and scripting best practices.
- Recommend improvements to testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance validation efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and other engineering practices to ensure overall product quality.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- BE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or related fields.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in WiFi testing, validation, or a similar role.
- Proven experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Experience with WiFi protocols, standards (e.g., 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be), and RF testing.
- Strong background in applying ML and AI analytics to network testing and validation.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in using WiFi testing tools (e.g., Ixia, Spirent, Wireshark, Ekahau).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Python.
- Expertise in integrating ML and AI analytics into testing frameworks.
- Strong debugging abilities to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a methodical approach to testing and validation.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
