Position Description:

To help meet the increasing demand for Product Delivery & Clinical capabilities within LRL tech, we are looking to hire talented Sr Solution Architect in the Fullstack Cloud Custom applications stack. This person should be a hands-on techie with an attitude to learns new technologies or services as advised by leadership team. So, he/she should have a strong tech background along with solutions architecting experience of large-scale systems, including stakeholder management, and influencing skills. The Sr. Solution Architect will understand, lead, and drive the technology and architecture discussions across the portfolio. He/she will have a deep understanding of business goals, objectives, and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, and business processes. The Sr SA will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks needed to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Develop and define the technical architecture for complex software systems, incorporating containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to enhance scalability, deployment, and management.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Design, build, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Implement container orchestration, scaling, and monitoring strategies to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

• CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Apply DevOps principles to improve collaboration between development and operations teams, and implement monitoring, logging, and automation to streamline workflows and enhance system reliability.

• Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas and queries for performance and scalability. Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) is required.

• Cloud Solutions: Architect and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others. Apply best practices for security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• AWS ETL Services: Design and implement ETL processes using AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, and Amazon Redshift Spectrum. Ensure efficient data transformation, integration, and loading processes.

• Event-Driven Architecture: Design and implement event-driven systems using message brokers and streaming platforms like AWS SNS/SQS, Apache Kafka, or RabbitMQ to build scalable, responsive, and loosely coupled systems.

• Front End Development: Lead the development of user interfaces using React, including component design, state management, and performance optimization.

• Back End Development: Design and implement server-side logic and APIs using Python and frameworks such as Django or Flask. Ensure high code quality and maintainability.

• Advanced Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in JavaScript and Python, applying best practices and advanced techniques in both languages to solve complex technical problems and drive innovation.

• Design Patterns: Apply and understand various design patterns including N-tier, microservices, stateful vs. stateless, request-response vs. loose coupling vs. reactive, and batch/micro-batch/real-time processing to design scalable and efficient systems.

• Code Reviews and Mentoring: Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to development teams. Mentor junior developers and help elevate their technical skills.

• Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes, facilitate knowledge sharing, and manage expectations through effective communication.

• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure system reliability.

Technical Skills:

• Experience on containers technologies in the industry (Docker, Kubernetes), micro-services and DevOps practices

• Expertise in open source programming & frameworks, API development/consumption

• Experience with multiple databases (RDBMS, NoSQL) and other common technologies such as Search Engines, Streaming & Queues

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and Fullstack (majorly React.js, Node.js) development.

• Strong experience with AWS Cloud services and deployment, majorly around

  • Experience in AWS Services like RedShift, Athena, S3, EC2 etc

  • Experience with AWS ETL services including AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, and Amazon Redshift Spectrum.

  • Experience in Migration Services

  • Good exposure towards AWS Lambda

  • Knowledge on AWS Step Functions

  • GitHub Actions and AWS Copilot

• Solid understanding of database design and management, including both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with event-driven architecture and technologies such as AWS SNS/SQS, Apache Kafka, or RabbitMQ.

• Deep understanding of various design patterns such as N-tier, microservices, stateful vs. stateless, request-response vs. loose coupling vs. reactive, and batch/micro-batch/real-time processing.

• Experience in API Development and Management

• Experience in Platform/Data Pipeline Design and Implementation

• Should have Integration Technology Stack

• Experience in AI/ML Tech Stack Implementation within Programs

• Caching tech – Redis, Cloud front, Step functions

• Ability to design, build and unit test applications on Spark framework on Python.

• Build PySpark based applications for both batch and streaming requirements, with in-depth knowledge on majority of Hadoop and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in Clinical Trials Data is an advantage.
