We partner with the business to attract, select, and retain top talent. We believe attracting the best talent is critical to business success. As part of the Talent Acquisition organization, the Talent Acquisition Consultant is focused on delivering best in class talent for the roles and competencies most critical to the achievement of Sun Life’s’ growth strategy.You will have the opportunity to own and execute the talent acquisition strategy, process and delivery for business groups within Sun Life. As the Lead Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will have demonstrated strong capabilities to develop talent pipelines, and engage and recruit exceptional talent into critical professional roles.This is a role for the experienced recruiter who:Is fluently bilingual in French and EnglishValues the importance of client satisfaction, customer service and responsivenessExcels in tracking down those hard-to-find, ‘game changers ‘and revels in the thrill of presenting Hiring Managers with a deep and diverse slate of candidatesSupports Diversity and Inclusion and understands the positive impact it has on company culture and the business bottom lineConducts industry research, keeping abreast of the latest news and trends of the recruitment world.What will you do?Devotes time to understand the products, services, culture and strategy of the business division you supportFor all AVP and Director level roles:Conducts recruitment strategy meetings with Hiring Managers, qualifies candidates through in-depth phone interviews, presents best-qualified candidates to hiring managers, facilitates debriefs and consults and influences to negotiates offers, and manages all candidate relationships throughout the recruitment lifecycleIn addition, you will be responsible for overseeing all recruitment activity within your Business Division through daily stand ups with a dedicated team of recruiters and act as the first point of contact for any recruitment related concernsManages communications with all key stakeholders (hiring managers, Human Resource Business Partners, and all other HR partners) Leverages internal data to prepare reports on key metrics and is comfortable presenting and speaking to this data with leaders and HRBPsUses best practices and systems to improve service delivery for recruitingWhat do you need to succeed?7+ years of sales sourcing/recruiting experience. Proven success in an agency, search firm environment and/or full life cycle recruiting roleBilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwideStrong knowledge of sourcing strategies and practices, talent acquisition processes and systems and a broad understanding of talent managementProven consulting, project management and account management skills; ability to organize and accomplish objectives independently and proactivelyHighly skilled in relationship building; possesses skills to quickly establish credibility and effectively manage others through influenceAdvanced sourcing capabilities including Boolean search methods & techniques, leveraging social networks, research tools, resume banks, as well as more creative techniques to identify potential talentFlexible and resilient; able to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities and changing business conditionsStrong time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detailIntellectual curiosity with a passion for trying new methods and challenging the status quoSelf-motivated, confident and able to work effectively with little supervisionStrong sense of team, willing to contribute to the larger group while supporting and encouraging others as wellExperience with technology (Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe) and an applicant tracking tool (Workday preferred)What’s in it for you?The opportunity to move along a variety of career paths with amazing networking potentialFlexible Benefits from the day you join to meet the needs of you and your familyWe’re committed to creating an inclusive and respectful environment. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
