Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our retail team in JANESVILLE, Wisconsin. This role entails the management of customer accounts, processing customer applications, and maintaining accurate customer records. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.

• Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Prepare and post Journal Entries as per business requirements.

• Perform Month End Close activities, ensuring all financial transactions for the month are accurately recorded.

• Utilize NetSuite and Oracle systems for financial management and reporting.

• Work with QuickBooks for accounting and financial management.

• Utilize SAP for enterprise resource planning and data management.

• Oversee and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status. Requirements • Possess strong skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance

• Experienced in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Capable of handling Month End Close activities

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is essential

• Must have a strong understanding of retail industry standards and practices

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Previous experience in a similar role within the retail industry would be advantageous.
