DESCRIPTIONAs Strategic Partnerships Manager you will be the external face of the Amazon Devices organisation, owning and setting the strategy for how we shape our Devices business in the Offline Retail channel. You will have autonomy to own and build retail partnerships, with sales responsibility for our 4 key product categories: Echo, FireTV, Fire Tablets, and Kindle E-readers.In this role, you are responsible for managing our strategic German retailers. You build relationships with key external retail partners, setting the sales and marketing strategy to drive growth across our Devices and the wider Smart Home category. You define and implement a plans to best serves new and existing customers, as well as exceeding financial objectives, that prioritise long term over the short.The successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop deep and integrated partnerships to unlock and maximise Amazon Device growth. You will be a conscientious thinker, with the energy to move at pace. You will be an expert in consumer electronic retail dynamics, trends and challenges.We are open to the following office locations:
London, Munich, Berlin, LuxembourgKey job responsibilities
– Develop and implement Amazon Devices retail strategy in Germany and other EU countries we expand into (e.g. Netherlands, Belgium, etc.).
– This includes not just fostering greater collaboration with our existing strategic retailer partners, but also identifying new retail sales opportunities. You execute this strategy in cooperation with our channel marketing team across multiple mediums (both in-store and online merchandising).
– Negotiate commercial Terms and Conditions with new and existing customers, seeking win-win solutions for both Amazon and retail partners.
– Develop & execute annual joint business plans with each retailer partner, including marketing and in-store execution strategies.
– Prepare & organize regular business reviews with partners, working on long-term initiatives to bring closer collaboration between Amazon and our partners.
– Coordinate new product launches – this includes influencing launch timelines based upon channel restrictions, as well as ensuring go-to-market activities are executed flawlessly across all retail partners.
– Present and sell Amazon devices externally to the most senior audiences with an excellent understanding of product features and retail partner needs.
– Drive continuous improvement in the retail channels by testing new marketing initiatives.About the team

You should be able to communicate complex business concepts in verbal and written form in German and English.
– Several years of experience in Sales/Account Management within consumer electronics or high-tech product environments.
– Superb analytical skills and business judgment.
– Demonstrated ability in simplifying complex problems and articulating a clear path forward through the use of data.
