Collaborating closely with a variety of key stakeholders front to back in UK Corporate Bank, you’ll own and drive initiatives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, ensuring effective communication and alignment across all levels of the organisation.To be successful as a Strategy and Execution Lead, you will need the following:

  • Proven ability to deliver a wide range of high-quality outputs under time pressure.
  • Ability to work at a strategic level with an understanding of how to handle sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to engage at senior executive level.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Strong knowledge of the financial and operational management methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – effective in presenting concepts.
  • Analytical and numeracy skills – proven ability interpret data to draw insight for a senior audience.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.The successful candidate will be based in Glasgow.Purpose of the roleTo collaborate with stakeholders and use data and MI to identify process optimisation opportunities for capacity creation in relevant business areas.ÂAccountabilities

  • Development and implementation of strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of banking operations, using data led insights.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve performance & optimisation  efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Development of reports and presentations on performance & optimisation and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments, and collaboration with stakeholders across the bank to provide recommendations for change and improvement within performance and optimisation processes.
  • Development and implementation of analytics and reporting performance & optimisation to mitigate risks and maintain efficient operations.
  • Identification of capacity creation in operations using data and Management Information.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
