Come be a part of the team.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be directly involved in the delivery and operations of player performance and health. They will manage and implement performance programs, assessments, monitoring, and physical development strategies for 905 athletes. They will collaborate directly with the Raptors 905 Head Athletic Therapist and the Assistant Athletic Therapist. They will report to the Raptors 905 Vice President of Franchise Operations, The Toronto Raptors Vice President of Player Health & Performance, and the Toronto Raptors Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.Position Type: Contingent Worker on a Service Agreement

  • Manage the off-court performance needs of Raptors 905 athletes. Create and implement all strength and conditioning programs and individualized performance-health prescriptions.
  • Implement performance testing strategies and player monitoring.
  • Direct player warm-ups, cool-downs, and activations. Assist with recovery programs and recovery strategies.
  • Manage nutritional support and meal planning within the team setting.
  • Communicate performance insights with the Raptors 905 Head Coach and General Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Head Athletic Therapist and Assistant Athletic Therapist in the delivery of player health operations. Assist with injury prevention, return to play, and performance rehabilitation. Assist with supportive first aid / medical EAP enactment during medical emergencies.
  • Collaborate with, and report to, the Toronto Raptors Performance Staff in the implementation of strength & conditioning programs for Raptors’ development athletes.
  • Collaborate with coaches, front office, and team operations staff to promote optimal team performance and player success.
  • Assist with additional basketball operations tasks as needed.

  • Completed university degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Kinetics, or a related field.
  • CSCS certification maintained and in good standing (Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach).
  • A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience working with athletes in a performance capacity, with direct involvement in creating strength & conditioning programs.
  • Maintain valid CPR / BLS first responder certification. Basic first aid familiarity/experience.
  • Hold a valid passport and have the ability to engage in frequent cross-border travel.
