Student Hire Post Offer Manager – 15 Month Fixed Term Contract/ Secondment
Reporting to: Head of Student Hire & Apprenticeship Compliance
Hybrid working: currently minimum once a fortnight in the office
Location: Birmingham, some travel may be requiredThe opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Student Hire post offer team that supports business apprenticeships, undergraduate and graduate recruitment, as well as EY student events. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring service delivery excellence, developing stakeholder relationships, and driving continuous improvement within the team. TheYour Key Responsibilities:
- Lead operational activities and resource allocation for the Student Hire post offer team, ensuring successful candidate onboarding across various programs.
- Supervise daily work organization, establish contingency plans, and achieve key priorities.
- Plan for peak periods with medium and short-term resource planning to ensure optimum team productivity.
- Foster relationships with the Student Recruitment team and other stakeholders, sharing management information and identifying service improvement opportunities.
- Provide leadership, support, and development to coordinators and team leaders, enhancing their skills and competence.
- Address service issues promptly, offering guidance for investigation and resolution, and escalating complex matters when necessary.
- Manage operational change projects and identify value-added services, implementing and measuring their effectiveness.
- Review and improve current working practices to enhance service and efficiency.
- Identify potential risks to the firm and escalate as needed.
- Ensure proficiency in all systems and transactions used by the team, meeting and exceeding KPIs.
- Oversee team knowledge and skill development, including cross-training and work transfer.
- Lead recruitment efforts for new team members, creating innovative strategies to attract Birmingham talent.

- Strong interpersonal skills with a commercial outlook and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in HR/Recruitment process improvements in a professional services setting.
- Track record of managing high-performing teams and driving change.
To Qualify for the Role You Must Have:
- Knowledge and experience in student recruitment, ideally within professional services.
- Proven change management skills.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Familiarity with EY’s service lines and extensive student recruitment requirements.
- Management experience within a service delivery team environment.
- Experience in a HR shared service environment.
