We are seeking to fill the Student Recruitment Service Partner and Transfer Recruitment position to support the student recruitment needs of faculties and programs within the College of Health Sciences at the University of Alberta, as well as oversee the development and execution of the Transfer Recruitment Strategy.The Student Recruitment Service Partner is a service-minded professional who will work collaboratively with key faculty partners to develop prospective student recruitment strategies and tactical plans that will effectively support the recruitment and diverse enrolment objectives of the College of Health Sciences. Reporting to the Student Recruitment Director, the Student Recruitment Service Partner will also collaborate with other leadership and staff positions within the Student Recruitment Center of Expertise within the Office of the Registrar to harmonize and align tactical faculty-level plans with the coordinated recruitment strategy within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise. They will lead an action team of Student Recruiters dedicated to the College of Health Sciences, as well as a team dedicated to Transfer Recruitment, to organize, deliver, and evaluate in-person and virtual recruitment events, presentations, yield activities, prospective student communications, and advising initiatives.Duties

  • Provide professional, informed, and creative advice to the Student Recruitment Director, key faculty/program contacts, and other College-level leadership positions with respect to appropriate recruitment strategies, tactics, and messaging.
  • Develop and evaluate faculty-specific and transfer recruitment plans and tactics in support of the institutional direction and in collaboration with institutional recruitment efforts; ensure that strategies and plans support the EDI-I objectives of each faculty within the College of Health Sciences, and of the university.
  • Act as part of an integrated team of service partners and staff who support enrolment management within the Office of the Registrar and coordinates approaches in support of the enrolment objectives of faculties, and the institution; ensure the University meets its overarching and targeted student recruitment goals.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with both high school and transfer students students, parents, alumni, and secondary and post-secondary institutions.
  • Advise on key factors impacting student recruitment, including identifying opportunities and risks and advising on strategies to manage these risks.
  • Provide content expertise and closely work with Recruitment Marketing to develop, implement, and maintain recruitment presentations, publications, and promotional initiatives for the college and for transfer recruitment, as well as coordination of social media promotions and other initiatives. Ensures strategies complement and align with other communications/marketing strategies within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise.
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with your fellow Student Recruitment Service Partners and leaders within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise, University of Alberta International, Indigenous Enrolment Management, Enrolment Management Service Partners, marketing and communications professionals, Admissions, Student Financial Support, and the Student Services Centre team to ensure you are able to advocate for your College and deliver solutions necessary to meet their enrolment goals.
  • Develops and leads training on each faculty within the College, and on the transfer recruitment portfolio, for recruitment staff within the Student Recruitment Centre of Expertise, as well as other partners. Ensures training documents are up-to-date and relevant to promoting the College or client group for recruitment purposes, such as training manuals and other training resources.
  • Develop, delegate, and evaluate annual recruitment strategies and establish target schools/regions for each key faculty and for the transfer recruitment portfolio; lead the division of work and assignment of tasks with Student Recruiters supporting this College and supporting transfer recruitment.
  • Allocate and monitor assigned resources and budgets effectively to achieve expected results.
