We have close working relationships with other Radiology modalities, Medical physics and Radiopharmacy. Qualifications, knowledge and experienceEssential

  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
  • Current HCPC, AHCS or RCT registration
  • Sound knowledge of Radiation Protection regulations including IR(ME)R 2018, IRR 17
  • Evidence of advanced Nuclear medicine imaging knowledge
  • Knowledge of Radionuclide therapies and the associated risks
  • Considerable post qualification experience and expertise in Plain Imaging
  • Extensive knowledge of the guidelines relating to clinical specialist area
  • Sound knowledge of all areas of Governance Knowledge of Trust policies and professional issues
  • Previous management /supervisory experience
  • Demonstration of knowledge of other departments works practice with which radiology has a significant interface.
  • Ability to make decisions and support the team
  • Able to hold difficult conversations, manage difficult situations including disciplinary and performance matters
  • Requirement to be available out of hours to respond to major incidents and/or managerial emergencies
  • Able to undertake on call duties
  • Conflict resolution
  • Undertake CPD and maintain professional registration.
