Data Engineering Supervisor

You Are: A skilled Data Engineering, Modeling, and Analytics professional with experience working within a team setting to design, deploy, and support data and analytics solutions. You have played roles such as Data Engineer, Database Administrator, Data Analyst, and/or Data Steward. You are a strong communicator, enjoy solving problems, and are looking to take on a supervisory role in a growing team.

In your past experience, you have worked on mid to large-scale data projects, utilizing SQL or Python to manage data entities in various database platforms. You have experience with ERPs, CRMs, or other OLTP systems and have converted their data formats to new snowflake or star schema formats using ETL tools or procedures. People around you often turn to you for guidance on data integration, data migration, or general data engineering challenges.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the company’s internal teams to support clients throughout ERP migrations and related projects.
  • Work closely with external client business, data, technical, project management, and partner teams to build relationships, deliver projects, and explore new solutions.
  • Document project scope, create estimates, and form timelines based on client conversations and surveys.
  • Manage engagement financials and project plans to ensure on-budget and on-time delivery.
  • Assist in client assessments of current state people, process, technology, and data through surveys, interviews, workshops, and data profiling.
  • Define development plans, requirements, and solution architectures for data pipelines, lakes, warehouses, analytics, and governance use cases.
  • Work with data in both 3NF and Star Schemas, define data mappings, reference data, and data lineage.
  • Develop and demonstrate technical solutions using technologies such as T-SQL, Python, AWS, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Tableau, and others.
  • Complete certifications in various frameworks, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Triage and resolve bugs/defects, manage Quality Assurance (QA) and test plans.
  • Support practice management efforts, participate in future hiring, performance management, and development plans for new team members.
  • Provide thought leadership and author digital content such as how-to articles, white papers, and other materials for the company website or industry journals.

We’d Like You to Have:

  • Experience partnering on ERP migrations or other specialty projects.
  • 5-8 years in a data and analytics role.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • At least 3 years of external client service experience.
  • Experience with commonly used ERP or CRM systems such as NetSuite, D365, Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, etc.
