If you are looking for interesting and challenging work, at a company committed to its people, find out more about what Aviso has to offer at .The Opportunity:We’re looking for a Supervisor, Operations Asset Management to join our team.Reporting to the Director, Operations Asset Management, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the successful functions of the Operations Asset Management team, including identifying, developing and maintaining a high level of data integrity. This involves providing guidance and motivation to staff, ensuring proper scheduling, training of staff, completion of registered plan processing and responsibilities, and working with other operational groups on day to day activities and projects.Who you are:

What your day looks like:
- Acts as an escalation point for issues or complaints raised by internal and external parties and ensures that the issue is resolved in a timely manner
- Coach staff to ensure that they completely understand their responsibilities and their value to Aviso and maintaining employee engagement
- Ensures that the dept is compliant with legislation and industry standards. Represents the company on industry committees and liaise with government bodies, trustees, and vendors in business and legislative issues
- Active participation in internal and external meetings
- Set a positive leadership culture through gaining respect of staff, peers and stakeholders
- Complete Trustee reporting by generating and filing reports by established deadlines
- Ensure regulatory updates that arise from CRA, ESDC, MRQ, trustees and federal budgets are appropriately implemented and shared with the team
- Works closely with vendors and partners and maintains a good working relationship across depts within Aviso
- Review daily reports and queries to ensure all errors and anomalies are corrected appropriately
- Pro-actively make recommendations for improvement of departmental processes and procedures
Requirements:Your experience and skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Mutual Fund or Financial Institution industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC Operations course would be an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detailed knowledge of all investment funds, taxation, and plan types
- In-depth and applied knowledge of RESP and GRSP products
- Experience with Unitrax is a strong asset
- Sound knowledge of all current legislation governing registered products and the mutual fund industry
- Self-motivated, results oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Adobe Acrobat
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
